MixShift · case study

MixShift

The AI layer and the design function at an Amazon marketplace analytics platform for agencies and brands: a design system with governance wired into the merge path, the Report Center 2.0 interface, the marketing site from commit zero, a knowledge base with its own retrieval-backed chat agent, and the org brain that turns every meeting into a queryable record. Embedded since October 2024. The engagement in progress, and the fullest picture of how I work: design and engineering as one function, AI systems shipped inside the team's stack, and the tooling that lets a small team operate with unusual leverage.

Inside product teams

Enterprise & product work

Ten years of design systems, product engineering, and enterprise platforms, shipped inside other people's teams. The oldest of it is the foundation underneath what I build now; the newest is still running.

Report Center 2.0 · MixShift

Report Center 2.0

The reporting interface at the center of an Amazon marketplace analytics platform, rebuilt. A UX audit that named about twenty defects, a features inventory of the existing monorepo, an eighty-five-story catalog, and a working React prototype that was reconciled into the specification and then superseded it.

Knowledge Base and Shifty · MixShift

Knowledge Base and Shifty

A 55-article help center with its own retrieval-backed chat agent, built as one pipeline serving humans, the model and AI crawlers. Hand-written BM25 rather than an embedding call, four layers of defense on the chat route, and an eval that blocks a release on a confident wrong answer.

MixShift Marketing · MixShift

MixShift Marketing

The marketing site for an Amazon marketplace analytics platform, from the first commit. A brand and design-system overhaul, 162 components across 31 routes, and the plumbing underneath: consent-gated tracking, four tiers of anti-spam, and a domain migration scoped so a partner listing survived it.

Built independently · in public

Studio ventures

Everything here is independently conceived and built. Some are live, some are active market tests, and others explore a product model through a working prototype. Independent products are where I test full ownership; the range they build is what I bring to a team.
